How to Improve English Department Students in
Speaking Skill
English is an international language used
by many countries in the world. Include in our country also study the language.
In elementary school, secondary high school, senior high school and even
college we got the material. The English department is one of the educational
programs at a university. In the educational program learn and explore about
English. However, many English department students are less likely to apply their
English. So they have not confidence to speak English.
To improve their speaking skill, they have
to practice a lot. Many ways they can do to learn their English. There are
several ways they can do it. First watch a movie or listen to music. By
watching a movie or listening to music we can learn about vocabulary and also
how to pronounce word in English. If you do not know what that means, we can
watch the movie along with its subtitles. The second way is to read a book.
From reading the book we will get a lot of vocabulary and also about the
sentence structure used in writing a book. We can also read books by raising
the sound. It aims to train our mouth in English.
If every English department student does
that, sooner or later they will master English well. They will be easy to
improve their speech because they will get a lot of vocabulary either from
watching a movie, listening to music or reading an English book. Mastery in
English will make the English department students more confident to speak in
English.
